But since you are like lukewarm water,
neither hot nor cold,
I will spit you out of my mouth!
Rev. Graham has met his savior. “The most thrilling thing about heaven is that Jesus Christ will be there. I will see Him face to face. Jesus Christ will meet us at the end of life’s journey.”
Rev. Graham’s advice to us. “We’ve always needed God from the very beginning of this nation, but today we need him especially. We’re facing a new kind of enemy, we’re involved in a new kind of warfare, and we need the help of the spirit of God.”
Rev. Graham on God’s never-ending love. “The Lord said, ‘I will never forsake you.’ No matter how sinful we are, how bad we are, God loves us. …I believe he sent his son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for us because he loves us, and he doesn’t have any termination to that love.”
Rev. Graham has returned home. “The Bible says that as long as we are here on Earth, we are strangers in a foreign land. There are enemies to be conquered before we return home. This world is not our home; our citizenship is in heaven.”
Rev. Graham tells us to seek answers in God. “Heaven is full of answers for which nobody ever bothered to ask.”
Rev. Graham on God’s love. “The cross shows us the seriousness of our sin—but it also shows us the immeasurable love of God.”
Rev. Graham on loss. “God never takes away something from your life without replacing it with something better.”
Rev. Graham’s faith in the Bible. “I’ve read the last page of the Bible, it’s all going to turn out all right.”
Rev. Graham on God’s power of love. “Sin is the second most powerful force in the universe, for it sent Jesus to the cross. Only one force is greater—the love of God.” .
Rev. Graham on suffering. “Someone asked me recently if I didn’t think God was unfair, allowing me to have Parkinson’s and other medical problems when I have tried to serve him faithfully. I replied that I did not see it that way at all. Suffering is part of the human condition, and it comes to us all. The key is how we react to it, either turning away from God in anger and bitterness or growing closer to him in trust and confidence.”
Rev. Graham on Courage. “Believers, look up – take courage. The angels are nearer than you think.”
Update: President Trump’s Address to March for Life:
President Donald Trump will address the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. live from the White House Rose Garden on Friday, January 19th, 2018. Our President is the first President to address the March for Life group live via a live video feed! This unprecedented endorsement of the March for Life, Pro-Life, advocacy is a watershed moment for a path to limit abortions in the US since Roe v Wade was decided in 1973. Since this court decision, at least 58,000,000 babies have been killed at the hands of abortionists! President Trump’s stand on eliminating abortion confirms that he is NOT A RACIST! Abortion kills more babies of color than any other cause of death in those communities. President Trump is trying to eliminate this left-wing Democrat ethnic cleansing practice!
Black Genocide: Of these 58 million infanticide deaths, 15.5 million of these precious lives were black babies! According to BlackGenocide.org; “Minority women constitute only about 13% of the female population (age 15-44) in the United States, but they underwent approximately 36% of the abortions. According to the Alan Guttmacher Institute, black women are more than 5 times as likely as white women to have an abortion. On average, 1,876 black babies are aborted every day in the United States.”
Trump to Protect Healthcare Providers Who Object to Performing Abortions!
Yesterday, President Trump signed an Executive Order that creates a new division under the HHS Civil Rights division to prevent healthcare providers who object to abortions from being forced or coerced to do so! According to HHS Secretary Eric Hargan, “President Trump promised the American people that his administration would vigorously uphold the rights of conscience and religious freedom…” “That promise is being kept today.” President Trump is the most overtly Pro-Life President since infanticide was legalized in the US in 1973.
So, enjoy your tax cut windfall and thank our President for not only improving our economy but for protecting the most vulnerable citizens of the US, our unborn children! To my Black and Hispanic readers, remember that the founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, who was a left-wing eugenicist who vowed to rid this nation of blacks and Hispanics, uttered these unbelievable racist words:
Dr. Aleveda King (niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.) remarked the error of Planned Parenthood’s abortion-on-demand corporate ideology:
The most obvious practitioner of racism in the United States today is Planned Parenthood, an organization founded by the eugenicist Margaret Sanger and recently documented as ready to accept money to eliminate black babies.
“So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.”
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
“And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.”

People were shocked to see an ISIS beheading execution on television but many of those same people looked the other way when the selling of aborted baby body parts we uncovered and reported by the Center for Medical Progress, an advocacy group that reports on medical ethics. In fact, the abortion industry was able to find a pro-abortion judge to block the videos; “The Los Angeles Superior Court order issued Tuesday prohibits the Center for Medical Progress from releasing any video of three high-ranking StemExpress officials taken at a restaurant in May. ” (This case will be reviewed by the US Supreme Court this year.)
If people had to confront the real horrors of abortion, seeing actual medieval procedures, the brutality of this industry, and the callous disregard for life, they would change their views on abortion. It is not safe nor should it be legal in a Judeo-Christian nation. There is always at least one life lost with abortion.
Novel Excerpt: “ISIS Brutality” (Not a real novel)
“A war-weary Donny Brown was embedded with an Iraqi Army counter insurgency group outside of Mosul. He had spent the better part of the year with the Iraqi Army who had the mission to drive out ISIS and other terrorist who had dug in between Baghdad and Mosul. He longed to be back home with his family in the warmth and comfort of their Mid-West home, Suddenly the troops were surprised and then overwhelmed by heavily armed ISIS fighters. All but two of the Iraqi troops were cut down by the rag-tag ISIS fighters. Barely surviving, Brown and the two soldiers were bound, gaged and hooded, then taken to an ISIS stronghold just outside of Mosul. Brown was restrained in an isolated, filthy, 5×5 dirt floor room and left in a completely in the dark. All Brown could sense was the sounds of muffled voices and a metal on metal clicking sound. Seconds later, Brown felt increasing pressure on his left shoulder that tightened quickly, crushing his collar-bone, just before his shoulder and arm was ripped from his body. Burning with a white-hot searing pain in his left shoulder, the pounding surges of his blood pumping out of his body, Donny once again felt the same pressure and clamping on his right should this time. Suddenly, as before, his right arm was ripped from his pain wrapped body…”
Now, imagine Donny was a baby in his mother’s womb and she was undergoing an abortion. The pain, the fear, the disorientation would be the same but with an added “bonus”. You had been in the safety, the warmth and the comfort of your mother’s womb and not in a dirty 5×5 dark room when you were literally ripped limb from limb. You would have no idea what had happened and seconds later you would be dead, just like the prisoner Donny!
As a nation, we have to be better than this. As a Christian nation, we cannot allow this to continue without expecting our God to rip us from His Grace just as our unborn babies are ripped from their mother’s womb. We have a President who is a strict Pro-Life leader. We need to absolutely apply a Pro-Life litmus test to the Congress men and women and Senators we vote for and help this President to rid this scourge from this nation, then from this earth.
(1) Estimated total. There is no definitive source of ISIS responsible deaths due to the co-mingling of deaths in Iraq and Syria that could have been attributed partially to Iran, Iraqi and Syrian non ISIS combatants.
(2) Based on Planned Parenthood’s Guttmacher Institute data. 2016 and 2017 are estimated.
The single most important goal of the Progressive-Left is to remove God from our society. By removing God, you remove morality. When you remove morality, you have created a society where there are no absolute values or moral certitude. In other words, sexual deviance, disrespect for life, lawlessness, and ethical decline become the societal norm. Hollywood is the mirror of the Progressive-Left’s moral relativism that is driving pop culture to redefine our nation. Rappers talk of whores, beating women, objectifying women, and are considered as ROLE MODELS to minority youth! Movies normalize out-of-wedlock sadomasochistic sex between “casual” sexual partners.
Hollywood’s recent self-admission of moral and ethical deviance is merely an indicator of this societal slide into moral relativism. Sexual favors for advancement is merely another form of human-trafficking prostitution. Pedophilia is masked as an extension of gay behavior or rape of a minor is considered to be a right and a favor to the victim! Movie themes push the decline of decadence with each frame to deaden the conscience of moviegoers and make abhorrent behavior be accepted as a social norm.
Are the Progressive-Left winning this war on God? So far they have won almost every battle. While abortion is not supported by the majority of Americans it is still permitted by the laws of our great land. When was the first time you had to think about Transgender individuals? Did you ever think that everyone has the “RIGHT” to change their sexual identity by merely saying they think they are a man while being a physical female or visa versa. Then, those same individuals can enter a bathroom, shower, dorm or other facility that had been traditionally segregated by physical sexuality. How long did it take in the last administration to change the definition of marriage that had been created by the world’s religions but appropriated by the State!
In Genesis 19:24 our Lord destroyed the evil cities of Sodom and Gomorrah; “Then the Lord rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah“. How much worse were these cities compared to our society today? Were millions of unborn babies butchered in these cities? Were men allowed to debase and abuse women and children with impunity? Were human beings sold into sexual and drug slavery?
The only people who can change this direction is us! We have a President that recognizes the role of our Lord in our land. How do we know that he is not a “false prophet”? Matthew 7:16 tells us: “You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?” Ask yourself, if the President was misleading us, why would he do so in the name of our Lord and ACCORDING TO HIS WORD? We are not alone. We have an advocate in the White House to reverse the damage that has been done by the Progressive-Left. Will it be easy? No! Christ’s life was certainly not easy nor did he go along to get along! Neither can we if we want to reclaim the gift God gave us that we know as the United States of America…
Hurricane Harvey, as it traveled across Texas and Louisiana, covered an area with water the size of one of our Great Lakes. 52″ of rainfall poured down on Southeast Texas flooding and devastating hundreds of square miles of homes and businesses. What arose from this devastation was a call to prayer by the people who were impacted and by our President of the United States. Many of those who lost practically everything, clung to the Bible verse, Philippians 4:13 “I can do all this through Christ who gives me strength”. The people of SE Texas and Louisiana banded together to save one another while invoking God’s name in supplication for strength, guidance, and peace.
Those people came from all over bringing boats, supplies, food, clothing and prayer! Hurricane Harvey will go down as probably the most devastating natural disaster to impact this Nation but will also go down as the time the people of the US turned to God for support. While I am sure that those impacted directly by Harvey questioned why God would allow this tragedy, many turned to Romans 8:28, “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
We may never understand why these events occur but this disaster has taught us several lessons:
One of my favorite passages is Revelation 15-17. John was admonishing the Church at Laodicea for not being fervent in their belief in Christ and not on fire to spread the Word of the Lord. The passage reads:
“I know your deeds; you are neither cold nor hot. How I wish you were one or the other. So because you are lukewarm — neither hot nor cold — I am about to spit you out of My mouth! You say, ‘I am rich; I have grown wealthy and need nothing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked.…”
Christ suffered and died for each of us so it is not surprising that He would abhor Christians who were lukewarm in their faith. The passage uses the term lukewarm as in water. Lukewarm water when consumed, has a tendency to induce vomiting. In verse 17, we see people bragging that they are rich, in worldly riches, but they are wretched in terms of spiritual riches.
President Trump’s passion and fervor to reignite the US Judeo-Christian values and love for one another immediately came to mind when I reread this passage today. Love or hate him, President Trump is red-hot and nowhere near Lukewarm in his beliefs and passion to “Make American Great Again”!
President Trump does not equivocate about abortion. To him, it is murder and the government should not support it. His supreme court and lower court nominees will all be pro-life. Equality of all people to Trump is a universal God-Given right and he feels it is our responsibility to strive to make everyone equal in terms of opportunity, their personal pursuit of happiness, and value to themselves and to this country.
Every principal Trump clings to he does so with passion and a red-hot fever. His passion is directed at making our inner-cities safe, clean, and an area that provides opportunity for his residents. He backs this up with trying to upgrade our education programs so inner-city kids have education choice and can get the base education they need to succeed in life. He also sees neighborhood safety as part of providing for opportunity to kids that are now dodging bullets and drug dealers on their way to and from school.
So when you are trying to relate to Trump’s style and being put off by his “New York/Queens in-your-face personality”, focus on his passion and draw from it. Passion is contagious and focusing passion on making our neighbor’s life better, making our inner-cities safe and prosperous, exporting peace to the world, and re-establishing our Judeo-Christian values, is good no matter who is at the tip of this spear. Embrace and enjoy it… Make sure that Christ does not look at us and think that we are not worthy and should be “spit” out.
We had two Bush Presidents, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, and a host of Republican candidates who professed to be Christian men of God. A few, very few, even displayed their faith somewhat openly in public. (I am always a little wary of someone who introduces themselves as, “I am Mr. Smith and I am a Christian”. I always repeat to myself the passage from Matthew 7:16, “Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?”) But the actions and legacy of all of these Presidents and candidates did not bear much if any, fruit that advanced the Word of God or even acknowledged His role I’m making this country a Christian example to the world.
Then, out of the blue, brash and plain speaking Donald J. Trump arrived on the scene as only he could do. Descending on a golden escalator he announced his candidacy for the President of the United States as only a bold New Yorker from Queens could do! To say that most people were shocked would be an understatement. The evangelical community was already was looking to Ted Cruz as their candidate to begin the restoration of our foundational Judeo-Christian values in America. Cruz had all of the bona fides most evangelicals and other Christians were seeking in a candidate. By the end of the primaries, Trump had not only defeated all 16 of the Republican candidates, including Cruz, he won over a majority of Evangelicals and other Christians.
The Bible gives us many examples where God used sinners, men and women with physical deficiencies, and people like the apostle Paul who actually was persecuting Christians of the early Church. Trump was not persecuting Christians, but his name would not be first on your mind if you were conjuring up Christian men and women of strong faith. In Exodus 4:10-11 Moses said to the Lord: “Oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and tongue.” How could a man who stutters and who cannot form poignant retorts convince the Pharaoh to free the children of Israel? How could Moses even convince his people to follow him? Moses, like Trump, was not a natural orator, unlike Obama. The bottom line is that it is God’s choice, not ours, who He will send to strengthen his people. Acts 9:15 reminds us of God’s command to follow who he sends: “But the LORD said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel.” This was not a request and God was not open for suggestions!
Some have said that President Trump is a wolf in sheep’s clothing or in Christian terms evil masquerading as a child of God. I reminded a friend once that God himself through the apostle Mark said in Mark 3:25: “And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.” Meaning, that evil begets evil. Good begets good. Evil may use good people who have not sought the Word of God to guide their actions but if those people are actually doing good, fighting abortion, invoking the Name of the Lord in rallies and speeches, and restoring the rights of pastors, priests rabbis and others who preach from the pulpit to openly express their political beliefs in services. (“You will know them by their fruits”). The proof is in the actions of President Trump and his actions are contrary to the secular humanism that extinguishes the light of the Word.
I have also heard many pastors that I respect say that they spent hours seeking “discernment” concerning President Trump and all have said that they felt that they received spiritual direction and understanding in supporting the President. First John 4:1, ( One John as President Trump would say :)), teaches us: “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
Trump’s evangelical inner-circle have spent enough time with him to learn the spirit of the man rather than outward, in your face rhetorician that characterized President Trump. They have also observed that Trump is Trump, and he does what he says he will do and does not compromise his faith principles. (“Ye shall know them by their fruits“) Also, Trump is the first to admit that he is early in his reawakened walk with the Lord and is constantly seeking more knowledge of His teachings and questions his mentors for hours. He challenges his friend and mentor, Orlando Pastor Paula White, constantly in seeking a deeper faith and a closer walk with our Lord.
Candidate Trump promised many things to many people during the 2016 campaign. More specifically, he promised his evangelical council and inner-circle that he would openly seek to restore Judeo-Christian values and the Christian ethos back into American Life. He spent hours with members of the clergy to learn about their concerns and roadblocks set in front of them by modern secular government. Upon learning of the “Johnson Amendment”, Trump started a one man crusade to overturn this IRS regulation: “Section 501(c)(3) organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office.”
Since the Johnson Amendment is an actual law passed by Congress, Trump cannot unilaterally overturn the law. Only Congress can do that. But, Trump signed an Executive Order on May 4th telling the IRS to not take any adverse action against house of worship or religious organization who may violate the Johnson Amendment by speaking out on behalf of or against a political campaign or candidate. Since the IRS reports to the President via the Secretary of Treasury, Trump has in effect terminated the effect of the Johnson Amendment until Congress removes the statutes from the law. Louisiana Representative Steve Scalise has put forth a law to remove the Johnson Amendment permanently. The bill is currently in the Ways and Means Committee.
Trump has also been very vocal in his rallies when he openly says that we all are of the same God, that we need God back in our nation, that we should all say Merry Christmas. While the Mainstream media interprets this as hyperbole and pandering, Trump is relentless at attacking institutional bigotry against Christianity specifically. It is Trump’s consistent message, we need God in our lives and directing our nation, that solidifies his evangelical base. Trump frequently meets with his evangelical Inner-circle and prays with them for wisdom to lead this nation back to greatness, but more importantly, GOODNESS. Trump may slip at times as we all do, but God has put us here to help him back up!
